I got Netflix! Calling all favorite movies!!!
Yaaahooo! I got Netflix again!
A year or so ago, I decided to cancel my Netflix subscription to save money or something dumb like that o.0 Well, I just subscribed again this week and watched Princess Mononoke last nite with Donovan (he has the movie on DVD in the UK, so we synched up as best we could and watched at the same time... it worked great!) I absolutely loved the movie... I haven't watched much anime in the past, just admired the artwork... but I've had a taste and I want more!!!
Anyone who knows me knows I'm a HUGE movie buff, and I love all kinds of movies. (In fact, I have a gigantic DVD collection that's unfortunately in storage at the moment.) The range of movie genres I watch is pretty wide, so I'll watch pretty much anything, as long as it's done well... sci-fi/fantasy... drama... girly chick movies... action... foreign films... documentaries... etc. Sooo, if anyone out there has movie suggestions for me, please let me know. Netflix has a pretty extensive selection, so there's a good chance they'll have it. I'd especially love any of the more obscure movies y'all like... the stuff you won't find in Blockbuster :P
Thanks in advance for your suggestions :-)
Miau for now ^.^

I dunno how many of these you've already rented:
Little Otik, Brick, Art School Confessional, The Eye, StormRiders, Sympathy for Mr Vengence, Old Boy, The Devil's Backbone, Amores Perros, City of Lost Children, Grave of the Fireflies (really really sad!), and any movie with Tony Jaah in it... as I know you love watching a man break arms for 5 minutes.
If you haven't seen it try to get the Farscape DVDs too, Dead like me and Wonderfalls too.
I heard they let you download movies or something like that now. o.O I LOVE Netflix.
Here's some stuff I like today!
Trainspotting
Equilibrium
Donnie Darko
Directors cut Bladerunner
2001
Judgement Night (mainly for the soundtrack)
Memento
Yay! I knew you guys were the right people to ask... you've mentioned some of my faves... Amores Perros, City of Lost Children, Trainspotting, Bladerunner... and how many times can a person watch Donnie Darko??? So, I'm sure I'll love all your suggestions. :D
You have to check out Insomnia (the original Swedish production)
The Great Yokai War, The Bird People in China, Saving Grace *comedy! <3*, The Twelve Kingdoms (loooong yet unfinished anime series that is amazing I swear), Beautiful Boxer, 2LDK, O Brother Where Art Thou.
